Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve
We pick you up at 07h30 from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or from your arrival hotel in Nairobi. From there, leave for the Masai Mara National Reserve with a short, exciting stopover at the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley. Thereafter, proceed to Masai Mara where you will arrive at your camp in good time for lunch and rest. After lunch, enter the Masai Mara National Reserve for game viewing. You will have the best time as you witness big cats, herds of buffaloes, elephants, and antelopes until sunset. Dinner and overnight will be at Mara Chui Resort
Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, proceed on a full-day game drive in the reserve with a packed lunch to enjoy during the drive. The reserve is well known for its black-maned lion and is one of the few places where you have the chance to view the “Big 5”. The cheetahs are used to the vehicles, and they seek shelter from the hot sun under the safari vehicles and several even climb onto the roof to get a better view of prospective prey. For the bird enthusiast, almost 500 species have been recorded here.
In the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve – Lake Nakuru National Park
Breakfast then we drive direct to Lake Nakuru where we arrive at Lake Nakuru Lodge on time for hot lunch then have an evening game drive.
Lake Nakuru is referred to as the “pink lake” for its thousands of pink flamingos and other birdlife – a bird watcher’s paradise. It has a surprising number of animals, and all of the “Big Five” except the elephant can be seen here. The park also contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino while species like Cape buffalo and waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline. Have dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru lodge.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park – Hells gate National Park/Lake Naivasha
Breakfast, then proceed for a morning game drive. Later depart Lake Nakuru for Lake Naivasha with lunch enroute, where you will go direct to Hells gate National Park for bike riding in the park and walk in the gorge. Dinner and overnight will be at the Crater Lake lodge.
Day 5: Lake Naivasha – Nairobi
Have an early morning nature walk in crater lake camp where you will get close to various wildlife like giraffes, Zebras, impalas, and many others. Go back for breakfast and then depart crater Lake. You will pass by Lake Naivasha for optional boat ride before proceeding to Nairobi with lunch en-route
